I’ve come to know Visions of Trees for their sunnier, jungle/animal inspired tracks, but this time through they give a chilling take on Memory Tapes’ “Green Knight”, which was earlier posted on We’re Tapes. We’ve been fans of VoT for a while and if you’re not familiar with their other recordings I recommend some time with them. One: with a rad mixtape posted on Vice. Two: their debut EP released earlier on Royal Rhino Flying. Thanks to GvsB for the heads up.
Originally sold out Seek Magic is getting a repress by Acephale and has already been made available. Stay tuned to We’re Tapes, as other tracks from the album are set for a remix job as well.

Pushing their first official release through Royal Rhino Flying Records via a 5 track EP (in CD format) which is now available for pre-order. Ever since we’ve first mentioned Visions of Trees, their tropical inspired soundscapes and Sara’s near Fraser-esque vocal delivery have been only warming up to me even more. If you like to procrastinate, know that the first 25 pre-orders come with a unique poster created by the band themselves.

Our “across the pond” friends in Visions of Trees are hard at work recording their latest release set to drop sometime early next year. In the mean time they’ve sent us this wildlife inspired video of their newest track, “Cult of Cobras”. We’ve also got the thing in mp3 form.

It’s been a while since I’ve mentioned Visions of Trees and their tribal breaks, but I’ve just gotten word that their cassette is now ready for tape decks all over the world. Limited to a run of 100 unique handmade tapes and they’re giving the thing away for free. However, international shipping has to be a pain in the ass/wallet, so contributions are always appreciated. Check out the beautiful “Purest Colour” and talk to them about those tapes.
