As part of his upcoming 12″ LP on Secret Furry Hole and (also) complimenting the itinerant exhibition of Italian artist Ester Grossi, His Clancyness’s latest hymn, “Sight Prayer”, is an offering of solace. Actually, the entire LP is set to revolve around said exhibition’s theme: “an exploration, from an American Gothic point of view, of a funeral ritual”. Also, keep your ear to the ground for some Clancyness on cassette label, Mirror Universe.

Within the first ten seconds of this song the unmistakable pit-er-pat drumming of Jesus and Mary Chain’s “Just Like Honey” is making me think that “Just Like Monday” was a typo. However, instead of following with a wall of noise, His Clancyness builds a wall of soothing beached melodies. This track isn’t set on any official tracklisting, but Jonathan is concocting a future release and hopes to see it on 7″ soon. I would expect to find this there, though. He has a sold out cassette on Secret Furry Hole, but you can find other tracks of his at few different stops.
