Always Mist is set to release sometime in the near future on Mirror Universe Tapes but, in the mean time, Jonathan Clancy is still keeping busy. While I’m looking like a geek by the pool with my laptop, I might as well post a barrage of tunes that remind me of why I’m out here in the first place. On the verge of a cassette release via Mirror Universe Tapes, His Clancyness is sharing “Mistify the Ocean” to keep us warm while we’re on the verge of an “arctic outbreak” (I live in Texas so I probably shouldn’t be complaining about cold weather). Jonathan Clancy has been keeping our headphones happy all last year, and we’re looking forward to a full LP-like release.

Alec Feld (Expensive Looks) has sent over this track from his new “rap/dance/r&b/shoegaze” project named Public Safety. At 8 minutes 20 seconds you can expect “Mutual Feedback” to be a grower but it doesn’t take too much time to reach maturity. Aside from this, Expensive Looks has previously sent over some great tracks and has an upcoming release due out on Mirror Universe Tapes.

Patrick “Fucking” Jeffords just kept me up to speed with the latest from Kid Trails. Their new cassette, Winlow, will be on the slate for release sometime in October via (the fantastic) Mirror Universe Tapes. A definite change of pace from his previous recording, but still managing to maintain the same folks-y core values. Check out our previous post if you’re into the whole compare/contrast thing, and for ordering information about his self released CDR. There is no pre-order set up just yet but I’ll make sure to give yall a friendly reminder when it is.
