Julian Lynch posted a new track from his upcoming album, the man is as prolific as it comes. Another outpouring of psychedelic sweets, Lynch seems to draw a lot of inspiration from the great experimental pioneer, Alice Coltrane. Very excited to see what this man has to offer on his new record. You can listen to the song on his blog here.

It’s been a while since I’ve lost sleep in anticipation of Christmas Day goodies. As a kid, thoughts of the Transformers Dinobots and Legos were usually the culprit. This year: The Underwater Peoples Winter Review. Seriously, I ran to the computer and downloaded this before I even took a glimpse at any wrapped boxes. After some quality headphone time, we would like to share this awesome compilation over airwaves (um, internet airwaves) from cover to cover. Since our episodes are 16 tracks long (the comp being only 15), we thought it fitting to lead off with MJ’s “Human Nature”. Head to Indie-Verse for the broadcast and, when you’re done, download the entire thing free (for a limited time) at Chocolate Bobka’s.

J Lynch just pointed the brilliantly textured “Sister” in my direction in the late hours of the night. Building upon layers and layers and finally blossoming into some sort of rare orchid with jungle shakes and jazzy clarinet, this is one of my favorite Jules tunes to date. Lefse Records is set to drop this on a split 7″ with Sad City who is also expected to have his version of a “Sister” on the other side.

Murky new video of “Seed” from Julian Lynch’s Orange You Glad was just shot of a geyser at Yellowstone National Park and happened to land in our inbox. These are the results. His debut LP is available now through Olde English Spelling Bee.

Dude with all the hook-ups, McG, over at Chocolate Bobka gave us a listen to “New Untitled Jam” from cloud walker Julian Lynch. Not sure if you are familiar with J Lynch’s other works, but the guy has a knack for creating otherworldly atmospheres and soundscapes. For the time being, he’ll be playing a number of shows in Wisconsin where I’m sure you’ll be able to see him recreate this awesome tune live.

A random clip I just found in Julian Lynch’s myspace comments. A video created by Heidi Petty with the wonderful “Banana Jam Pt. 1″ from the Underwater Peoples Comp. This video may be “unofficial” but it sure does ride well.

While making my internet rounds the other day, I happened to see our Hold Yr Breath mixtape pinned up at one of our favorite record label’s blogs. Underwater Peoples, that is. It was also good to see that the mix was in good company with a variety of other mixes from some of my favorite music watering holes. One of these mixes that particularly caught my eye was that of the Wild Animal Kingdom. Fathering many of the artists that are now on Underwater Peeps from Julian Lynch to Pill Wonder, and it doesn’t stop there. On cassette, Wild Animal Kingdom’s second compilation features a heavenly dish of those chill laid-back tunes that are making everyone’s summer more enjoyable. Head over to their site, check out the catalogue, and order what you fancy. The 2nd comp is set for a FREE download and here are a couple tracks that have stood the test of my rewind button.
