Click here and you will be on your way to the third episode of Weekly Tape Deck radio on Indie-Verse. This week we’ve decided to throw a classic in the mix and will probably continue the tradition every week, or as we see fit. Aside from that we’ve got some brand new tracks from The Magic Kids, Happy Family, Best Coast, and The Sandwitches. Click the jump for a complete tracklisting and right here for a link to listen.

Will from Happy Family has shared a brisk, snappy track with us that feels like a Van Gogh painting in Swinging London. We’ve written about Happy Family before but I must say this track is unsurpassed by anything he has done before and easily the best song I have heard produced by this Baltimore up-and-comer.

Nevada’s Boneless has already been making some choice rotations, and has just set me up with his latest recordings. The right pair of headphones, and “Breathless” can turn you completely catatonic. Like many of the DIY bedroom dreams, a world of infinite loops with faint and distant vocals is created. In come the comparisons to other like minded samplers such as Shahs or Happy Family. As a matter of fact, about half way through “Better” (if you listen close) sounds like there could be a “Comfy in Nautica” loop thrown in there. In the relatively near future Leftist Nautical Antiques will release more of his recordings via cassette. Looking forward to the future.

Maybe you noticed, maybe you didn’t but there was no mixtape last week. Can’t exactly tell you why, but all you need to know is that this week is completely different than last. Guess it’s a good thing that this particular wrap up will include tracks from more than one week, right? Starts off fast and hard like punch in the face and ends up soft and smooth while the swelling subsides.

Lovvers- Ocd Go Go Girls
Black Math – Part of Me
The Big Pink – Velvet
The Shivers – Just Didn’t Need To Know

A Sunny Day in Glasgow – Ashes Grammar/Ashes Maths

Amidst all of this “search for the perfect genre title” b.s., it’s refreshing to find an artist with a sense of humor. As difficult as it would be to classify the makings of Happy Family, Will jokingly has “some-fi” listed in the headliner of his myspace. His latest ep, Sound Farm, denotes expectations in the title itself. Endless sample loops built on a progressive platform are constructed into a mass of auditory beauty. Happly Family, has the ep up for gratis and even has some kind words of inspiration included in the file. Also, check out his tumblr for some cool vids and photoshop musings.
