lotus plaza//live @ the eyedrum

Bradford Cox’s band trifecta blog (Deerhunter/Atlas Sound/Lotus Plaza) is only updated maybe once or twice a month, but always delivers the goods.  His latest post was of a live recording of Lotus Plaza’s set at The Eyedrum in Atlants.  The thing is HUGE!  A 43 minute flat jam session of droning, sample loops, and a vocal delivery that has been reverbed by the heavens.  Looking at the picture (and hearing his voice), Lockett Pundt might as well be Noah Lennox’s little bro.  The first ten minutes or so are intense, so have some patience with this one.

I was so busy trying to get the website looking “perfect” yesterday that I looked over this new Bradford Cox tune yesterday.  Atlas Sound actually has a very current blog to keep music addicts up to date and they released some new tracks yesterday.  Don’t want to forget to mention Cox’s other endeavor earlier this week via Deerhunter (mp3 single “Rainwater Cassette Exchange”/7″ ep will be available June 8 on Kranky).  These new tunes from Atlas Sound can actually be downloaded for free on their blog.
