Somewhat similar to Spectrals‘ drowned doo wop sound, Manchester, UK’s Boy or Bison has recently sent over a few tunes. From the looks of it, they’ve only been around since early last month so there is little to no release information on these guys. In fact, all I really KNOW is that they’ll be supporting Best Coast next month when she tours the UK.
Boy or Bison – Spider Man
Boy or Bison – Make Me Go

Click here and you will be on your way to the third episode of Weekly Tape Deck radio on Indie-Verse. This week we’ve decided to throw a classic in the mix and will probably continue the tradition every week, or as we see fit. Aside from that we’ve got some brand new tracks from The Magic Kids, Happy Family, Best Coast, and The Sandwitches. Click the jump for a complete tracklisting and right here for a link to listen.

This is from the other-other 7″ that the wonderful Best Coast just put out, titled Make You Mine and out on Group Tightener records. You can order the 7″ from their website.

Found some dreamy new babes from the west coast laying down light and breezy new wave tunes a la Cocteau Twins (dunno, maybe the picture they’ve got up gave it away). I was able to locate Dunes through their peaced out buds Pearl Harb☮r, who will be playing a show together in October at The Smell (the great Best Coast also happens to be on the bill). Hasn’t been easy to get in touch with these guys, but they’ve allowed me to share some good music with yall today. Here’s “Handle”, and I’d recommend a pair of headphones.

I’ve been mulling through this idea for the past couple of weeks, and finally decided to yank the plug on the weekly mixtape installment. Not saying I’m done making mixes all together, but I feel like they should be more of a novel concept. Maybe something seasonal? Not sure, don’t really want to obligate myself to anything. But, when then mixtapes do roll-out I’ll make sure you guys know about it.
