Been meaning to jump on the Raw Moans posting train (?) lately and share their lovely music with you, and here we are: Raw Moans descended from the land of milk, honey and smog to meet up with the H-town label for all things trance and wiccan, Disaro. Together they are bringing Raw Moans’ whispery sweet-nothings and tingling synth beats that seem tailor made for sweaty naked people (see video below). They’re upcoming release is a standard 5 song ep with intro and outro but includes an accompanying remix CD, RW RMX, with reworks from the likes of Crypt Thing and Party Trash, the former being the remixer for the song below “You’ve Got Mail”. The video below is for the song “Aqua Net” and contains a hell of a lot of nudity.

Crystal Stilts are back with their mop-topped pop–low monotone vocals, cascading guitar and droning organ make up the majority of “Shake The Shackles” their first single since “Love Is A Wave” and a preview of their album which is soon-to-come early next year. “Magnetic Moon” was born on a completely different coast, the marshy one–this song is a blues and twang popper but maintains their droning organ, signature to their sound.

After releasing one of our favorite albums last year, Reading Rainbow are back with their sophomore release, Prism Eyes, which is set to release November 23rd on Hozac. If “Wasting Time” is any indicator of what we should expect from this album all together, I’d say we’ve got another contender for this year. It’s still the same heavy-hitting pop-punk that caused to fall in love with them in the first place, but with much cleaner production value. Resulting in crisp harmonies, clearer vocals, and one hell of an re-introduction.

Sarah and Rob recorded this, along with 2 other tracks, for the non-profit Weathervane Music’s project Shaking Through.

Christ. Unouomedude sent over an incredible song he was featured on with Police Academy 6, one of the most steadfast names Ive yet to hear, ever. The song is an ephemeral heaven-sent synth masterpiece that seemingly takes one into another world. Unouomedude combined with the retrograde loops creates one of my favorite musical worlds of this aging year.

Blissed Out are finally coming back through my neck of the woods and we’ve set them up with only the best house venue ’round these parts, Majestic Dwelling Of Doom–we have also added scaling industrial-electroids Florene and will hopefully add at least one more lucky charm to this bowl. For this tour Blissed Out have gone in cahoots with Impose Magazine to release 4 song Cassette titled Second Plane in which you can expect new transient avant-electronic-jazz from a band that must be seen in person. For those not in the know, DOOM resides at 731 Texas Street in Denton, on the outskirts of town. The weather will be just starting to cool off and the vibe should be perfect for a good house show–this is not to be missed. Fbook event page here.
