After a productive 2k9–creating an LP on Neon Aztec and self-releasing an EP–Joseph Denny’s brainchild, Spirit Spine, has already started to show signs of life in the new decade. In our first (and only ever) interview, Denny discussed his fond cuddling towards tropicalia toned tunes. Hence the title of his upcoming album, Jungle Bridges. At 11 tracks circling around 36 minutes, he has mentioned his focus on shorter songs. Though not as lengthy, there are no cliffhangers here. There certainly isn’t a migration towards a new direction here, just signs of maturity.
