The missing resin caper has been solved and Reading Rainbow‘s LP was finally pressed onto vinyl about a month later than intended. Upon arrival, Mystical Participation will spend more than it’s fair share of time with my phono. Also note that their record release party will be a thousand miles away from me in their hometown, Philly, at Kung Fu Necktie on the 21st. I actually saw RR last July at a house show in Denton with Teenage Cool Kids and Fungi Girls (who’s debut LP is available for pre-order) and had a blast. If you’re in the area, stop by and show them some love. Order the LP here.

[...] What’s the twist? Hmmm. Lemon? Lime? It’s a little tribal. Take a listen, thanks to Weekly Tape Deck. [...]

[...] Philly-based e4e1 favorite – instantly affecting melodies in a stripped down guitar/drums setup that lacks nothing in its minimalism. They have a K Records / lofi vibe drenched in sunny, bittersweet earnestness that balances summer nostalgia w. fuzzy, Hüsker-style guitar passages.►purchase their records via Last.fm ||| here ►download mp3s ||| here & here [...]
