With this flux of DIY artists the past couple of years, it’s good to keep in touch with your roots. A recent dig, Beyond the Implode is late 70’s bedroom post-punk with a time warped trip back into the Floyd days a la Syd Barrett. Short-lived and staying that way, these tunes will only serve as a relic in your library. Actually, This Atmosphere was just issued on Siltbreeze in an ultra limited 300 copies and consists of 2 tracks off of their Last Thoughts ep and 2 previously unreleased. Although it is sold-out, you can get copies on ebay if you just gotta have one. Otherwise, check the web for digital copies. For more rare DIY oddities/bands you probably have never heard of, check out this list compiled by Johan Kugelberg where he sorts out his 100 favorite DIY artists of the late 70s early 80s era (BTI was his #2!).
