The long, half-assed, morning stroll to the mail box is always better with vinyl. Released as a 12″ split with Hisham Bharoocha’s Soft Circle, “Late Bloomer” is High Places epic 12 minute tribal journey. Ironically titled, this track doesn’t reach maturity until around 6 minutes in and is a palindrome in song structure. Traveling full circle, High Places gently drop you back off at the “entrance” to the Amazon rather than leaving you at the mercy of it’s wildlife . Recently released by Post Present Medium, the latest from two of my atmospheric favorites comes highly recommended. Order yr copy.
