Thorir Georg Jónsson’s latest solo project, My Summer As a Salvation Soldier, is a complete 180 from his other Icelandic bands (i.e. Hrydjuverk). “Monuments”, is absolutely minimal but still progresses throughout the duration of the track. Just as distant as Jónsson appears to be from the mic. His latest LP, The Devils, is set for release this November via Lefse Records (home to the “highly bloggable” Neon Indian).
