The soon to be released Iron and Wine compilation, Around the Well, is a large collection of home/live recordings, studio mixes, and covers (to include The Flaming Lips’ “Waitin’ for a Superman” and New Order’s “Love Vigilantes”!!). Sub Pop has just released another mp3, “Belated Promise Ring”, which could possibly be one of my favorite Sam Beam tunes. Iron and Wine are set to embark on a short 10 show tour (no fair Canada!), and are already working on a new album set to release Spring ‘10. Around the Well is available for pre-order on a 2xCD or 3xLP.
